January 2020 Newsletter

Ohhhh it gets cold, then we get some snow, then we wait for more snow, then we get thrown a warm-up and then we watch the depth of the snow start to fade away.  The ups and downs of our winter months lately.  So we currently have limited riding with some water holes showing.  Groomers are waiting for snow, as well as us the snowmobiler.  We have only so many months to ride; we must keep the faith and try and stay positive…..right?

Even though conditions aren’t the greatest right now we do have maps out and available at the following locations:  White Buffalo Trading-Barnstead, Bosco Bell Store-Barnstead, Blueberry Station-Barnstead, Arnie’s Auto Repair-Barnstead, Sanels/Napa Store-Pittsfield, Bell Brothers-Pittsfield, New Durham Country Store-New Durham.  Only $5.00 each!

The Club’s Winter Raffle drawing is approaching.  1st prize $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200 and ten $100 winners.  Only 200 tickets sold and you need not be present to win. We still have tickets that need to be sold and tickets that need to be returned.  We are requesting that if you have any of these tickets please return them before our next meeting on February 5th.  They can be dropped off at Matt St. George’s Auto Body Shop (or call Matt at 435- 6737), or if you want to purchase a ticket see Matt.  Time is running out!

The Club’s Town & Country snowmobile weekend is February 21st & 22nd this year.  We still have rooms available.  Because this is a club event, please contact club member Laura Foss if you are interested in going, or if you have any questions. Laura’s home phone # is 435-8729, or e-mail her at [email protected].  It’s always a fun weekend… if you snooze you loose.

#1 Trivia Question:  If a gate is closed, it means the trail is closed? True!!!! Please do not cut around a gate that is closed.  Or in your travels if you approach a “No Snowmobile” sign that means you are not welcome to enter beyond that sign.  It does put a strain on our club and landowner relations when people go where they shouldn’t be going.  If you witness any of this please try to get their registration number as it can be reported.
